World Championships in Australia

20.9. 2010   Peter Sagan, before the World Championships in Australia

After spending some time resting at home in Žilina and performing duties for his agency, Peter flies to Australian Melbourne for the Road World Championships this afternoon. At 11.30am he will take part in a short press conference in his agency´s headquarters. His next steps will lead to Schwechat airport, Austria. From here he will fly to Melbourne with a stopover in Dubai.

„I feel fine, I want to prepare myself well by taking part in a local race in Australia and acclimatise to conditions and time zone difference. The strategy of my team is not clear yet, so we will see later. I hope I won´t disappoint my fans and will do my best in the race.“

For his official webpage and his fans told a talented Slovak rider.

Peter Sagan: „There are two important things about the race, it is very long and hilly.  The profile won´t be good for some sprinters, it will be much better for classic riders who can do well in smaller hills. Personally, I know the Italians and I would consider Filippo Pozzato as a favourite. I hope that this profile of the race will suit us well. We have to cope with the fact that there are just 3 of us in the team. Many things we just cannot plan or prepare. We will try to make use of other stronger teams.
